“I am a socially skilled introvert with a mission, an unorthodox resume filled with experience, lessons, accomplishments and ever increasing insights. As a result: an unique mix of knowledge & skills that proof to be helpful for others.”
Resume in short
Marinka studied Social Science, went straight to a business environment afterwards and has been involved in personal & leadership development ever since. For 25 years her work was about being asked to set up new business units, lead change-processes and fulfil leadership positions. Her education never stopped. A research mind makes her curious about patterns, formulating hypothesises and testing them in daily work. She joined high quality leadership courses and masterclasses, is certified in governance and the TMA-assessment method. In 2016 her first book, Factor MOED! was published. It became a bestseller. Her second book, Factor DOEN! was published in 2017 and was well received also. Both books are about effective leadership and behaviour.
In 2015 she founded her own company. “It took a while for me to find my focus. Ongoing research on what makes change successful and leadership effective brought me here; neuro-based High Performance in combination with highly effective behaviour. In short it is called ‘behavioral strategy’ or ‘behavioral economics'”.
Her groundbreaking learning approach finds its roots in her education as a child. “Training and learning by using experience first and then add high-end knowledge and insights works amazingly well. It is the best way to embed knowledge fast and deep into our system. Behavioural change is said to be hard. This way it is much more fun and way more effective. Seeing companies and people actually improve, achieve significantly more and gain high energy is the biggest reward I can wish for.”

“The stage or start of a big project is always a hurdle. But when I remind myself why I am doing this, the energy starts to flow.”
Who is Marinka
Her partner feels she is creative, lovable and smart. Her former employer sometimes shook his head because of her unstoppable innovative energy and highly appreciated her multi-skilled dedication. Her clients describe her as powerful, a strategic visionair, warm and skilled. Her audience thinks she is charismatic, an expert and a humorist. Her trainees say she is inspiring, empowering and highly trained in giving what they need.
She describes herself as an energetic social introvert, grateful, headstrong, purpose driven and a student of life. She keeps on learning, never settles for impossibilities and is seasoned enough to be realistic at the same time, manage her own energy levels and have the growth of both herself and others as her main focus.
Her resume is a peculiar mess, she says with a smile. And she is grateful for it. A broad selection of experience and training makes her views unprecedented useful. She is just as grateful for the loving home she had as a child, the support she gets from her loved ones and the capabilities she got in her personality to work with.
When you ask her about her flaws she is just as realistic: “My mind is always buzzing and my sensors are always receiving information. When I forget my meditations it becomes a chaotic atelier and I become sloppy. When I do maintain my mindtraining it is my biggest asset.” The help of others, for her, is without a doubt of the essence. “No one should ever want to succeed alone.”
Overcoming hard times is, not by choice, also part of her life. “Although not by choice, those experiences made me more aware of what matters most. It also makes me humble in a good sense. I know what I am about. I also know that I wouldn’t have been her without others. And honestly: there is so much out there that we do not know yet. No one would ever want to state they have got it. You get a part of it, for now! You can work with that. You should and I do that with great pleasure. But I always know: there is more to discover. That is a great feeling and keeps me sane and inspired!”
What makes her tick?
“Being aware of the potential you have and get it out there the best way possible, for your own benefit and others describes my drive at best. As Stephen Covey said: ‘It is about finding your voice and helping others to find theirs.’
To do this in a way that it actually and profoundly improves your life, the lives of others, your impact as a professional, leader or organisation is my main focus.”
Her approach
“We know that the biggest part of our behaviour, is directed by our subconscious. I am convinced that in the decades to come, we will increasingly learn to use the hidden powers we have. That is not an opinion, that is science. I am absolutely inspired by the fact that modern technology & old traditions like meditation find each other. We can proof now what some traditions have practiced for ages: the mind is very powerful and we can transform our brain by doing the right things. This transformation enables us to create a whole new reality. It is the only way we can escape loops we are trapped in. And the key is inside ourselves. That is actually awesome!”
Marinka strategically combines business and neuro-insights with High Performance tools. As a behavioural expert she created a model for the most effective behaviour, the HPB-QUADRANT©, which enables you to be at your most persuasive and impactful and show the courage you need in an effective way.
Breakthroughs
“Studying the brain and high performance, I discovered why so many change processes do not work out. I knew the explanations we normally give and the interventions we use. I used them too. But they didn’t satisfy me.
Then it dawned on me. Change is hard in itself. Our brains do not like it. They will use every opportunity to feed this dislike, consciously or subconsciously. The longer it takes, the more our brain gets this opportunity. Back to top-down instigated change can be attractive, but is mostly not the answer. Co-workers need to be involved. Stakeholders too. That takes time in a process. It seemed like a snake who bites his own tail.
It took a period of research, thinking and experimenting, but then I realised that most of our change-processes are designed the wrong way. They counteract with the way our brain works and we expect too much from training and individual development. Re-design processes along with raising awareness and the right skills is much more effective. Studies show that results increase considerably when working this way.
I work and continuously study what is going on with inspiring and highly qualified colleagues. We keep each other at our toes so that we can deliver the best to our customers. And with our customers we learn too. Their success is our success.”
